video resolution

Mon Sep 17, 2012 9:25 pm

I seem to have run aground here .. I have my Pi connected to a lg flatron l225WS monitor. pi can't recognise this device ..
question: how do i /what do i edit to fix the screen issues

i have fixed it for cold boot but an init 6 or restart sends it off into some mode my monitor cant support.
the mon max res is 1680 X1050. I think the aspect ratio is 16x10 where the pi is 16x9

thanks for the reply.

already been there but that is only effective from a cold boot.
if i issue an init 6 or restart the Pi reverts into some odd mode that my monitor can't display correctly.
I and not concerned with overscan as a small border in not an issue.

Any firther help appreciated.

i suspect it is the x config wherever that is

Hi Mike,

I have the L225WS monitor as well and I'm having no success in getting it to be recognised. If you could post the settings you used, it would be greatly appreciated.
