Hello.
Please forgive me if this has already been covered elsewhere, however, I cannot seem to find any information.
I am the proud owner of the Raspberry Pi Zero W, and, I am wondering if the Zero4U USB board, is compatible. Only having 1 USB port is a bit annoying.
Many thanks.

Re: Zero4U USB Board
No reason to assume it won't be compatible. Ask the folks who build it.

Re: Zero4U USB Board
That uses those pogo pins right? If the test pads on the back side of the Zero have been moved, it isn't going to work. The pins won't line up where they should.
Re: Zero4U USB Board
The manufacturers seem confident that the pins for Zero v1.3, and the Zero W, are the same. They state they have no reason to believe it will not work. However, I will wait until they stat that categorically in their documentation, before purchasing one.
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Zero4U USB Board
On some sites it states V 1.2 only but that's because you can't use it with the original V 1.1 Zero. You need to hunt up pictures of V1.2 and 1.3 bottom views and compare the two. I use one of these with mine, https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/thre ... -connector
Re: Zero4U USB Board
I should be getting my first Zero-W on Monday and I'll see if the pads line up with my Zero4U.
Re: Zero4U USB Board
I have the earlier version installed on my RPi 0-1.2 and it fits and works perfect. The price was decent and the shipping to Hawaii was fairly quick. I also bought the WittyPi2 for a RPi B+ from them and it works fine but you really need to RTFM carefully on that one.

alphanumeric
Many thanks for you advice.
Having looked at schematics/images of Zero v1.3, and the Zero W, it would APPEAR that the pins are the same.
With that in mind, I am pretty confident that the Zero4U SHOULD be compatible. I will purchase the relevant model Zero4U, and see if it works. If not, well, just have to find a Zero v1.3 to play with. One can never have too many Pi's hanging around....

Re: Zero4U USB Board
I have 3 Zero's lol. One of the originals and two with the CSI connector. No ZERO W yet though. Won't be too long before I have 1 or 2 though.

Re: Zero4U USB Board
The necessary pads on a PI Zero W DID NOT change relative to the PI Zero.
I have checked this for another thread:
viewtopic.php?p=1123184#p1123184
This means that you should be able to use the latest version of their Zero4U board with the PI Zero W, but ask the seller to confirm this, as the test of the PI is in the eating

Re: Zero4U USB Board
Many thanks to everyone for being so helpful, and not ridiculing a newbie....
I went to the local Pound Shop (bargain/cheap store in UK for our overseas cousins), and, purchased a 3 port USB hub for, yes, you guessed it, £1.00. Works fine on my old v1.2 Pi, so, will not need the Zero4U for my old one....
