GPS real time location

Thu Feb 09, 2017 7:33 am

Dear Freinds,
i am in need of knowing the location and footpath of a raspberry PI.

my question is:
if i must get the GPS module or can i settle for only a cheap GPS antenna and
the raspberry can extract its location from that antenna alone.

The Pi doesn't have on-board GPS hardware capability, so you'll need a complete GPS module, with either an integral antenna, or an external one.
USB GPS modules can be bought relatively cheaply.
