Raspberry Pi Water Tempature/Level System?

Sat Dec 10, 2016 10:51 pm

Hi, so I'm getting a salt water fish tank.
I'd like to automate the process (or at least get the status) of two things: water level, and temperature.
I'm not sure how I would do it, which is why I'm asking you guys.

I was thinking I would get something a waterproof moisture sensor and stick it to the required water height of the fish tank, that way when it doesn't sense any moisture it will execute something. Do you guys have any recommendations for a sensor and the code I would write?

I'm pretty sure I have the temperature thing down already, so cross that out.

Thanks!

I'm not sure where it would show the stuff.
Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean.

You'd like to know how to get the temperature result? There are multiple ways to achieve that. You can use an LCD display, a seven segments display (very limited), a real computer monitor... even an online webpage that you can access like any other website!

Float sensor and a Dallas temperature sensor immersed in a waterproof bag or box.
