With the pi zero you can set it as a ethernet gadget.

Can you do that with Noobs?

NOOBS is merely an installer/chooser for your OS. If you select the default Raspbian install you will have the same OS as if you had installed Raspbian from an image file (apart from NOOBS taking up about 1.4GB of SD card space).

If you do that on a Pi Zero (or an A/A+ with some special tweaking) you can set it to gadget mode. The Pi B range cannot be used in gadget mode because the USB hardware doesn't support it.

Not with NOOBS at present, though you could ask the Developer of PINN if it is feasible:

Thanks as might use Pinn anyway after having a look.

Would be great if Pinn did have ethernet gadget mode.

It would need an os select config file as the otg steals the usb
