Could anyone recommend a safe reliable text provider in the united kingdom to use with raspberry pi projects that send text alerts

I don't know about reliable text providers although I'm sure google will find some if noone else suggests anything.

An alternate option could be attaching a cheap USB GSM dongle with SIM card and suitable plan and use that to send messages out directly from the Pi without needing a 3rd party service.
