Add a RTC clock for a Pi 3 used as a NUT server?

Sun Sep 18, 2016 1:48 pm

Hello

I am going to use a Pi 3 as a NUT server and for logging purposes I want to keep track of time.

I cant find a easy/simple tutorial to add a RTC batter to the Pi 3 plus I also have the doubt of if it will fit in the case. I'm gonna use the Raspberry Pi 3 Official Desktop Starter Bundle

Thank you for the help.

There are some pretty small DS3231 RTC boards. If the one mentioned here doesn't fit in a case, I'd be surprised: Adding a DS3231 Real Time Clock to the Raspberry Pi 3 | trick77.com

Very probably; the board is tiny, and the official case has some headroom.
