audio on rca but video on hdmi

Hi, i'm an italian user so sorry for my english.
If is possible I would to know if I can have audio on RCA channel but video on HDMI because I use an hdmi-vga converter.

It depends on the software some will use the HDMI port others may use the headphones you need to configure the software.

What application are you using??

Try the configuration option
hdmi-drive=1
This is used for DVI monitors that do not support audio. The sound should be sent to the audio port instead of the HDMI port.

Actualy I use raspbian "whezzy" with vlc media player.
Tomorrow I try the configuration option
hdmi_drive=1.

Ok. Audio now audio work in the headphones port, I force it with: "sudo amixer cset numid=3 1".
