Why?200yrs wrote:Hello ... want to install tightvnc into my raspberry pi without using internet...please help to the right direction.
Uffdah!200yrs wrote: ... network [is] (connected by lan) but I am working in the place [where] our IT blocks the internet to all Rasberry PIs for some reason.
When using tightvnc, XRDP, SSH, they all open new and independent session(s). Several users could log into the same RPi and each would not know about the other.Candyjet wrote:What is the advantage of x11vnc over tightvnc?
You have to have access to the Internet anyway to get the packages.200yrs wrote:Look guys....if internet is not an issue, I would not spend time here asking this question....But thanks to those who tried responding.
I can see that there's no way can install vnc without internet..
Sorry, mate.200yrs wrote:It's fine how long I can finish installation...all am asking is a guide...a step by step guide...thanks mates.
If you want to install things from deb files, you are going to have to do all the dependency management yourself. This can be very difficult no matter what the kind folks over at slackware claim, witness trying to compile omxplayer on tiny core linux.....200yrs wrote: I want to install tightvnc into my raspberry pi without using internet...please help to the right direction. Downloaded tightvncserver_1.3.9-6.4_armhf.deb but can't install using command --> sudo dpkg -i tightvncserver_1.3.9-6.4_armhf.deb.
Looking for libc6...so i downloaded libc6_2.13-38+deb7u10_armhf.deb and install but got error as below.
There are various programs that attempt to do what you want including, I haven't tried this one, apt-offline and others. It surprises me that no one else around here has this issue since all it takes is a pi stuck up in a tree doing datalogging and you come by every once in a while and wifi into it to download the data and presumably upload updates but there's no internet available.200yrs wrote:It's fine how long I can finish installation...all am asking is a guide...a step by step guide...thanks mates.
