saving web sites to the desktop

Sun Apr 10, 2016 12:14 pm

hello all

I am using the default browser in raspian 'epiphany 'and am having trouble working out how to save a web site to my desktop as a short cut. When i try, it saves one icon for the site and a second folder as well. I have been trying to save a site so that i can access it from the desktop without having to go through the browser. Currently i have an icon for the site that finishes html and then a folder for the site that says 'The sites name' home files. When i go to the site using the html icon it takes me there but then i cannot go anywhere else on the site as it says it cannot connect.

as ever any help would be gratefully accepted

regards

tony

What happens if you press [CTRL]+[D]?
It may not store things as *.url files, but it should bookmark them.

I'm assuming you don't want an offline copy of a website snagged using curl or wget in web-crawler mode.
