Hello,

i have just bought a raspberry pi and i do not own a screen. i put my sd cards where NOOBS seems to be installed ( when i bought the rpi with the accessories it was said " NOOBS preinstalled" ) and i plugged my rpi to my box, but when i try to connect to my rpi, i got an error message like " host refused connexion"

any ideas ?
Thanks a lot

NOOBS requires a screen, keyboard, mouse and wired internet connection, and IMHO is very new user unfriendly. You may be better off using the rasbian image. If you have a mac, then you should be able to ssh to rasberrypi.local, or if you have windows; install putty and apple's bonjour* service (printer) and you can then do the same.

*The bonjour service is zero conf networking and is compatible with avahi that is installed on Raspian.

You shouldn't even need to format the card. The Raspbian install replaces the existing formatting with it's own settings. Just follow the instructions.
