Wed Aug 01, 2012 8:18 am

Hello

I have found a good alternative to Win32DiskImager -> RawDisk.

For all interested:

Just proves there's more than one way to skin a cat. ;)
Noob is not derogatory the noob is just the lower end of the noob--geek spectrum being a noob is just your first step towards being an uber-geek ;)

If you find a solution please post it in the wiki the forum dies too quick

That is good, as I used the win 32 image, and it appears to read and right, but when it is all complete, the sd card is empty. I unzip the file and save it as a image and then read and right it to the sd card but it doesn't work.

You should only write the image to the SD card. If you read from the SD card, you will corrupt/destroy the image file.

I'm curious, how would reading corrupt the card? "Reading" should simply only view data, but not touch the card. Does this have something to do with Windows trying to edit timestamps or something similar?

There is no download link on your page, (or do I need some new glasses)

It looks like the OP read from the SD card to the IMG file before trying to write from the IMG file to the SD card.
This would destroy anything which was already in the IMG file.

Near the bottom, there's a link next to a little image of a floppy disk.
I don't blame you, that page is cluttered

I forgot to mention the raw image file must be renamed with ".imgr" extension.
