I may know a bit on windows OS, but, on Opensource, linux etc I am a complete idiot, newbie, nerd and dummy !!
Can someone suggest any literature and/or online resources, especially about the booting process, script editing etc etc and all.

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

Re: learning resources.
I've tried to put together a couple simple projects for the pi as well that might be of some help:
Initial Setup:
http://www.barryhubbard.com/raspberry-p ... ial-setup/
Lighting an LED with the Pi's GPIO
http://www.barryhubbard.com/raspberry-p ... oject-led/
Making a little LED stoplight with the Pi's GPIO (with a little more Python programming)
http://www.barryhubbard.com/raspberry-p ... stoplight/
Also, there is a little information on getting started with Linux:
http://www.barryhubbard.com/category/linux/
These are basically my notes, but perhaps you can find them of some use.
Good luck with the new Pi!
