Attaching a Pi Camera to a Pan and Tilt

Tue Dec 22, 2015 6:44 pm

Hi;

I'll post this in the beginners sections because I feel like a nube asking this question :-(
I have an assembled Adafruit Pan and Tilt Micro Servo Camera Mount:

https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/adaf ... cro-servos

I also have a Raspberry Pi Camera Mount:

https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/rasp ... mera-mount

Question:

How on earth is the camera supposed to fit in the Pan and Tilt ???

Thanks

The pan and tilt page doesn't actual say it fits the pi camera, does it?

I'd get the drill out and drill to suit the pi camera, or maybe Velcro, or double sided sticky mounts?

Try here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHeOIEHKG8M - looks like it just clips on to it ;)

Yeh I found that video earlier, the mount is only attached on one side.
Anyway here's what I did:

I measured up the standard camera mount against the Pan and Tilt and noted that if I removed two tags either side it should slot in nicely.

With both sides tailored it fits nice and snug.

Problem now is that the ribbon cable needs to be longer, are there any extensions?

No carriage cost if order > £5, & prompt delivery in my experience.

Same cables also fit RPi official lcd.
