PWM output on a handheld digital oscilloscope

Sat Dec 12, 2015 4:42 pm

I'm a newbie to the world of RPi and I'm trying the PWM functionality with the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. I'm using this guide: http://www.toptechboy.com/raspberry-pi/ ... -in-python to do that. I also recently bought a digital oscilloscope. Now I'm trying to see the output waveforms on this but I don't see anything. Any ideas? I'm not sure what is not working right.

I figured this out. The connector was not properly connected and hence I couldn't see anything on the DSO :)

Daniel Bogdanoff from Keysight here. What scope are you using? Check your probe connection first, then try autoscale. If that doesn't do it, zoom out vertically and see if it's off the screen. Make sure the signal intensity is high enough. If you see a signal but it's not stable, play with the trigger levels. Also, make sure you are zoned out enough horizontally and make sure the channel you are using is turned on.
