Connection to wifi network mobile phone

Tue Dec 08, 2015 10:29 am

Hello,

I have a problem for to connect my Raspberry Pi 2 at my Wifi network shared by my mobile phone. (Nokia Lumia 930 on Windows mobile 8.1)
I use a wifi dongle. http://www.amazon.fr/Edimax-EW-7811UN-N ... B003MTTJOY
The dongle works with my PC.
The security key is WPA2-AES. I have not the choice.

It is impossible to connect me. But it's possible to connect on a network not protected.

Do you have a solution please?

How have you configured your interfaces and wpa_supplicant files?

e.g. sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wpa-conf /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
network={
ssid="NAME OF YOUR NETWORK"
scan_ssid=1
psk="PASSWORD OF YOUR NETWORK"
proto=RSN
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
pairwise=CCMP TKIP
auth_alg=OPEN
}

Those wpa_supplicant settings work for me when connected via WPA2-AES.

I use the same dongle as you. I used a tutorial by david conroy specifically for this edimax dongle and it worked!

hello,

Thanks for your answers. I did what you explained but it doesn't work.
I think that is a problem of compatibility between the dongle and my phone because i have the same issue on my PC, i don't succeeded to connect with the dongle.
