Sat Nov 28, 2015 9:16 am

Hi I am new to this and have just bought my 11 yr old son a raspberry pi starter kit for Christmas.
I would like to buy him a simple project too...Is there any that any of you recommend please?
THanks

You don't say what sort of project you want. You can download the full set (40 !!) of the MagPi official magazine for free as PDFs from https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/issues/ - your son (with your help if you want) can read those and select a project. I would probably start with Scratch programming

You don't say if you have got it set up. You might like to check this out before Christmas; like missing batteries, it might be a bit disappointing to open a present that he cannot use ;) - which starter kit is it? (yes, I know it 'should' just work!)

As well as the MagPi, you can read about a lot of Raspberry Pi projects here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/resources/make/

For a possible source of the parts you might need, consider the CamJam Edukits: http://thepihut.com/collections/types?q=CamJam%20EduKit
