change keyboard layout

Thu Nov 12, 2015 9:45 am

Hi
I just started working with Raspberry Pi 2.
Everything is ok except of my keyboard layout. I use the Rii K12 keyboard (http://www.amazon.de/Rii-Kabellose-DE-T ... B00VR3W4BM).
I want to change the settings to german keyboard layout, but I can’t find it in the configurations for keyboards.
What should I do?

In the terminal, enter:

Code: Select all

sudo raspi-config
In this list there should be keyboard, if it isn't, i's probably located under advanced. (I don't have a Rpi by hand)
You can go trough the list with your arrow keys.

After you have selected one of the generic keyboards, in the next menu you must select OTHER to get back to the country of origin menu. There you will find German.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
