Wifi USB?

Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:15 pm

Hello everyone! I am new of this forum. My name is Andrea and I will get my first Pi very soon! I'm trying to get a few things ready such as micro SD and wifi adapter.

My question is : does it matter which usb wifi adapter I get or does it have to be a specific oe to be compatible with the PI 2? I read the maximum spees is 150Mb/s

Thank you for your help and patience.

Andrea

You will probably get different performance with different adapters, but the Raspberry Pi Foundation recommend one, see here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/usb-wifi-dongle/

You can also check http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Wi-Fi_Adapters, but do some additional searching for the one you are considering. Several things have changed in the last few years ;)
