Hi
I will get a raspi 2 next month ,but one think I'd want to know. There is a way to do video call on google talk (hangout) from the RPI? Thank you in advance.
If you are buying a RPi 2B ARMv7 Model and will be running Raspbian Jessie "IT MAY" be feasible to undertake Hangouts Video / Chat from within a Web Browser:ThomasS wrote:I'm afraid you need the Google Talk plugin which isn't available with ARM 6, the Raspberry Pi's processor technology. Even then you'd need to faff around getting a webcam set up. There is a voice over IP program but you may need to get your friends Raspberry Pi!The link is http://uelastix.com/#
(u)elastix, asterisk, RasPBX etc are VoIP PBXs. They are NOT VoIP clients.ThomasS wrote:There is a voice over IP program but you may need to get your friends Raspberry Pi!The link is http://uelastix.com/#
The Gajim GTK+-based Jabber client is also supposed to work with Google Talkdrgeoff wrote:(u)elastix, asterisk, RasPBX etc are VoIP PBXs. They are NOT VoIP clients.ThomasS wrote:There is a voice over IP program but you may need to get your friends Raspberry Pi!The link is http://uelastix.com/#

UV4L allows you to join a Jitsi Meet Room over the Web. Video is broadcast (one-way at the moment) and audio is two-way (you can also hear other participants):blindwolf wrote: I will get a raspi 2 next month ,but one think I'd want to know. When you use Pidgin and login-in via your Google-Talk-account (a Google-Mail account using Jabber then), you can basically do VoiP over Pidgin, but so far I've only seen it work on Ubuntu PCs and to adjust the micro and speakers is not as easy as for example Skype's auto-adjustment.blindwolf wrote:Thanks .
