Multiple sensor monitoring via wireless

Thu Sep 24, 2015 6:13 am

I found RasperryPi when i tried find good solution from Arduino pages to my Project. Can some of you help me with my Project?

I want to create next kind of monitoring system:
Multiple different sensors which connecting to the "main board" with wireless connection, so sensors send datas to the "main board" via wifi connection. In "main board" is GSM internet connection to the cloud.

Sensors should be example temperature, amount of rain, humidity, pipe vibration (how this will possible do) and wire tension (how this will possible create). Sensors will be max 30 meters from "main board"

Can i use some of RaspberryPi "main board", where i can add to the input wifi and to the output GSM internet connection?

And what else is necessaries that i can start with my Project?

I hope that i tell all necessaries information, but if need more, please ask and i try get or find what needed.

There is a lot on wireles method.

You could use bluetooth, RF433mHz transmitter, XBee and others.

I do have something similar of what you want . All my modules are arduino coupled with an nRF24L01 transmitter. The Pi itself is the master and record all the data using MQTT protocol.

Check the forum . There is a lot of this kind of project.
