433MHz receiver antenna

This is going into "beginners" since i suspect my question will have a very stupid answer

Just to see if there's a big difference from "cheap chinese receiver" and superheterodyne receiver, i bought this from DX

(Obviously i already got one of these some months ago http://www.dx.com/p/433mhz-rf-transmitt ... WLZttLtlYQ )

Now, as you can see the new module has a group of 3 pins that are gnd, 5V and data. This is not a problem even for me

But why the hell there is another couple of pins for antenna?? i always connected only ONE wire as antenna to 433MHz receivers (and transmitters), why is this asking for a ground too?

maybe for those, who wants to connect a coax cable instead of a wire-antenna directly, or if it is used in a sockes, to have the ground trace close to the antenna pin...
and those people were crying... so they populated an extra pin for (shileding-)ground close to the antenna output - so they do not have to "drill" their own ground point.

Ach...the pin is there so you can connect a big heavy wire between it and a nail that goes into the ground. I see it in all the antenna mounting pics. It extends the range immensely.

(Just joking...don't do it!)
