Sending signal to other circuit

Hi there, i am new at using the Raspberry Pi, however this won't stop me from trying.
I am trying to make a circuit that can power on and off a mains switch. To do this, i am using a remote controlled mains switch, which i've gutted. It is a quite simple thing that i am trying to do, though i do not know the practical way to do it.
You can see on the first picture, the entire circuit with the white relay opening the main. The second and the fourth picture shows the interesting area. It works by the push of a button. The button then connects what i assume is a signal pin to the ground, which switches the relay on. If it is pushed again, the relay is turned off. But how can i get Raspberry Pi vers. 2 to press the button, when it is told to?

Thanks in advance, from a newbie eager to learn
