autorun from usb stick

hi all

how can I make my usb stick to autorun at start up?? also how to mae it bootable??

I don't think you can make it bootable, the Pi has to boot from the SD card as I understand it.

Yes the RPi boots from SD Card only: http://wiki.beyondlogic.org/index.php?t ... ot_Process

Though you can load the Operating System itself from a USB drive, please of threads in this forum ;)

What filesystem format does your USB stick have, because FAT, vFAT or ExFAT get mounted with noexec by default (for security reasons).

Auto-running is a Really Bad Thing™ that has been used as an infection vector for getting viruses on Windows machines for may years.

Why do you think you want or need auto-run?
