i want to split an image and output the splitted images on different screens. and the pi has only one hdmi port, i wanted to use the USB ports instead and then use a usb to hdmi cables.

MHL is irrelevant in that context.

When you plug a MHL cable into the micro-USB socket of a device that has MHL that USB socket changes mode and no longer outputs USB signals.

This is what I use. I have a bunch of them.

"USB DisplayLink" is the phrase to put into your search engine.

Yes, I know :) I haven't seen that kind of cable either.
Since it's already established that MHL isn't relevant, I just wanted to point out something I know actually works.

As said , this only works with the special "MHL" USB ports
which the Pi doesn't have :

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org

Oh yeah , MHL (which is not USB , but may be found on USB ports) works like that.
