How can I Backup my SD Card?

Sun Jul 08, 2012 3:38 pm

I have a perfectly set up Raspberry Pi and I want to continue to play around with some settings. Before I do this and eventually mess something up, I wanted to make a clone of my SD card. I'm using OS X, so can someone recommend a way I can do this? Is there a recommended program to use?

I take it you have win32diskimager?

You simply put the card into a memory reader, select the drive that the card reader is in, click "Read" which means write from the SD card to an image file on the computer, select where you want the ISO to go by clicking on the folder icon, name it. Click save. Then click "Read."

Then done, it takes a while; should do it eventually though!

P.S. I have: win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.3-r27-binary version of win32diskimager.
