cli font colour

Sat Jul 07, 2012 1:24 pm

I'm using a basic python code to call omxplayer in a loop to play some short videos, but in between it goes back to the CLI and you can see all the writing, I would like it just to be a blank screen so the easiest way is to set all the font in the CLI black.

How can I do this?

You might get a clue here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Color_Bash_Prompt
There are lots of other sites on this topic too - Google for bash colors

I don't use or know omxplayer, but this site:

makes me think you speak of the tty. If so:

Code: Select all

setterm -foreground black -store
No idea how to do that with a command (instead of preferences) in the Gui.
