Connect a WD MyCloud to RPI2

Tue Mar 03, 2015 7:55 am

Hello Guys

I've a Wd MyCloud NAS and i want to connect it to the rpi2 so i can download from transmission etc directly on the NAS.
I tried many guides but nothing, the rpi cannot see the NAS.
The IP static of NAS is 192.168.1.2
To access to the public folder (NAS has many folder on the home but what interests me is free access) there is not the need of a password.
Can someone help me please? Thank you

Look at whether your NAS supports Network File System (NFS) that works really well with Linux. I have three NAS shares mounted on all seven of my RPis.

I can access to NAS with SSH. Have I to set the NAS or RPI2?

Do more Google searches I don't have one of those devices, but setting up NFS is trivial. You just have to read the fine manual or other docs.

Linux with samba is a steaming mess. The permissions stuff doesn't work. Using NFS is a) faster, b) more secure and c) easier to configure
