How do you safely shutdown noobs?

Thu Feb 19, 2015 7:05 am

Hi Guys,

Probably a stupid question, but how do you shutdown 'noobs' (from the terminal)?

I tried sudo shutdown now and it seems to go through the process and then tells me that the root account is locked 'starting shell'.

So, after a few seconds I end up back at the shell prompt.

Do you really mean rhe noobs installer, or do you mean the Raspbian OS installed by noobs?

Raspbian.

The OS is well and truly installed.

Shuts down ok from the GUI but not from the terminal.
