1. open vlc media player
2. roll up the mouse for volume to 200%, I think this the maximum
3. the audio jack output is audible on ur ear-phone
Note. Don't know any harm to the chip though;

Pis put out a "line level" signal on the 3.5mm audio jack. I've found that to be adequate for headphones. For anything bigger, I use self-powered speakers and don't have any issues.

Yes. ok for headphone but not ok for cheap earphone.
