How did you install it? Did you follow any instructions?

Ok..... but can you be a bit more specific...
What said you needed to fill in your 'pass'.
And what 'thing' did you use in which preferences tab?

Can you provide a link if you followed instructions found on the web?

Ok, at least now it's clear how it was installed.

Several ways of removing it.
1. Go to 'add / remove software' again and find codeblocks (e.g. by typing it in the search box at the top left and then pressing <enter>).
Remove the tick in front of it and then click Apply or OK and follow the instructions.

2.. Open a terminal window (Menu / Accessories / Terminal) and enter these commands

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge codeblocks
sudo apt autoremove

Sublime Text doesn't run on ARM.

Sublime Text is not part of the Raspberry Pi Package Repository.

Have you looked at the Sublime Text site's download page?

Rasbian is a Linux/Unix 32 bit distro of debian on an ARM processor.

For instructions use the appropriate instructions at https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/linu ... ories.html

You might want to check Sublime's support forum.

Sublime Text for Raspberry Pi 3 with Rasbian OS this supports the above reply.

I actually quite like vscode. Several languages supported out of the box and there are more available through plugins.

Arm / pi versions are built by 'headmelted'.
Installation instructions are available at https://code.headmelted.com/ (section Linux / APT instructions)

This should do it (easiest to use copy & paste to enter the commands especially the second line)

Code: Select all

sudo -s
. <( wget -O - https://code.headmelted.com/installers/apt.sh )
sudo apt update
sudo apt install code-oss
After intallation you should have an entry 'Code - OSS' in the Programming menu

If you decide to uninstall it again you can just run

Code: Select all

sudo apt purge code-oss

Is that the output of the install procedure or did you add the second line manually?

Can you post the output of

Code: Select all

apt policy

Ah... it seems there's a problem with the installation procedure at the moment.

Wait for the developer to resolve the problem.

Well, if you follow the link it should be clear that the dev has not said it should be fixed now.
So that's a no.
