Is this the first 64bit kernel released for Pi?

Want to try it but does not come as .img, it is raw ;)
Have to figure out how to write the SD from Windows.
Normally use Disk Imager.

Not the absolute first, but definitely first stable and supported one.

In win32diskimager set show all file and select .raw

Rats did not work.
Did some boot and grub stuff then went blank :(
Will try with another SD card and yes it is a Pi3 ;)

Only a week to Leap.
We going to see Leap 42.1 Aarch64 released for Pi?

Rebooted a few times, USB keyboard not found......

Only 4.4.30 kernel?
I was expecting 4.8.?

Hi!

I prefer the images from this repo:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... i3/images/

The manual for installation is here:

https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Raspberry_P ... pstream.29

Or for Raspi 2B (ARM/) images and installation from here:

https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Raspberry_Pi2

The download is a RAW file but just edit the name and remove the RAW and replace with img and it should work just fine. :)

Slow to install with rather impressive once loaded.

Hardly "supported"......
SUSE is not providing commercial support for SLES for the Raspberry Pi. Any questions should be posted to the Raspberry Pi forum at https://forums.suse.com/forum.php We will also provide a quick start guide to help new users set up SLES on the Raspberry Pi.

Hi!

Has somebody been able to buy a new raspi 2b v1.2 with 2837 onboard? Can't find it yet...

Managed to get SLES to run on this machine?

Something a bit more "continental"? :-)

I've got one.
OpenSUZE did not work, I think it needs a Pi3.

Well that is stupid, it uses same BCM2837 SoC / Memory / Kernel / Firmware as a RPi 3B !!!!!

I don't think the device tree its the same, maybe one could try replacing the dtb file with the one of the new pi2 and try.

Hi fruity!

I learned recently that this is a family-friendly forum and we are not supposed to swear in such an environment. :-)

Regarding relevant location of Raspi 2B v1.2 dealer: Let's call it the EU (continental part of it...) :ugeek:

I looked in Germany and Sweden so far, with no success.

Done! :-D

PS: Elements14 will only deliver to business customers, private users are referred to local dealer, which all I checked do not have the V1.2 in stock. But we are a little OT in the meantime. ;-)
