Booting own FreeBSD image failed

Sun Dec 28, 2014 12:13 pm

Dear all,

I am new to Raspberry Pi. I tried to create a custom FreeBSD image from the latest sources.
I followed all steps detailed in http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 85&t=90613. But unfortunately, the booting process silently fails, please see attached image.
I tried both the config.sh from the above URL as well as the default: ./crochet.sh -b RaspberryPi

The last output on the monitor is always:
kernel entry at 0x100100...
kernel args: (null)

Any ideas, what's going wrong? Do I miss something?
Thanks in advance,
Sven

As an addition to my post: I also tried the offical FreeBSD 11-CURRENT snapshot image for the RPI-B.
Again, the result is the same as with my custom image.

It looks like you got your answer on the FreeBSD ARM mailing list. When you built your custom image the HEAD version was broken but it is fixed now. For future reference if you have problems try a known working version (I mentioned that I tested version 273702 in the HOWTO you referenced).

Return to “FreeBSD”
