Where is the SSHFS package ?

Tue Jan 23, 2018 12:09 am

Hello,

I would need SSHFS to mount a ssh server to ~/sshfs

Any sshfs available for PI with Freebsd 12.0 for RPI3. ?

SSHFS is not available.

(I am using rpi 3 model b)

Interestingly, I had always thought that the client side of SSHFS was Linux only, but it seems that is no longer the case. According to what I've read, it runs on (at least) Linux, BSD, and OSX (with the appropriate Fuse layer running on each platform). So, it should be possible to do what you want to do.

If it is not directly available in the FreeBSD repos, you may have to compile it yourself.

If a post offends you, just put that poster on your foes list, and be done with it (and with them).

To do otherwise, risks being banned.

Hello,

You can try to install fusefs-sshfs package:

Code: Select all

[email protected]:/usr/src # pkg search fusefs-sshfs
fusefs-sshfs-3.3.1 Mount remote directories over ssh

/boot/loader.conf (if you need mount sshfs from fstab):
fuse_load="YES"

/etc/fstab (FYI: noauto options):
[email protected]:/data/snap /snap fusefs.sshfs rw,noauto,mountprog=/usr/local/bin/sshfs,late,uid=1000,gid=1000,reconnect,StrictHostKeyChecking=no,IdentityFile=/home/snap/.ssh/id_rsa,allow_other 0 0

Return to “FreeBSD”
