altq support on FREEBSD

Sat Nov 11, 2017 1:45 am

I'm running 12.0-CURRENT on a fresh install on my pi. Is altq support possibly by just recompiling my kernel with the necessary support?

Is there a config file available to use as a template?

TIA!

Google tells me ALTQ is the BSD networking scheduler.

I use Raspbian's tc command to control the qdisc on Linux network interface to do the same thing. It works out of the box, no kernel rebuilding is needed, unless you need some specific functions.

I didn't know Pi is able to run BSD now. I thought RISC OS is the only non Linux OS.

As you mention version 12, I would guess you mean FreeBSD / RaspBSD ??

Obviously the developers of the Operating System would be the ideal place to ask questions ??

Raspberry Pi Foundation / Raspberry Pi Trading de-facto Operating System for RPi SBC & CM is a customised Raspbian Operating System.

Whilst many users do run other Operating Systems such as BSD not many participate here, see the forum section:
