GPIO with JDK8 on RPI

Thu Feb 07, 2013 6:56 am

Hi,
I'm looking for a library which gives a Java API to set\get the pi GPIO pins. I guess it should be some JAR which includes a Java API that goes through JNI to some native library.

Is there any such project \ library \ JAR?

thanks!

The project you are looking for to support GPIO from any java implementation is Pi4j
 http://pi4j.com/

 The Pi4J projects main developer savageautomate is an active member of the raspberry pi java community, this library will solve all your Raspberry Pi GPIO needs in a professional way, highly recommend.

Thanks Xerxes for the mention!

Just make sure to download the latest 0.0.5-SNAPSHOT release of Pi4J for use with JDK8 (early access).

I am working to try and get 0.0.5 released soon.

Thanks, Robert
