I am involved in the development of a Java application running on Raspbian. The code is managed with Maven.
There seems to be a problem with code that isn't on the Maven repository. The compiler produces the following error code:
The work around is to manually download the file to the Raspberry Pi. This would be OK if there was just one Pi, but there are many. Ideally the file would be available on the Maven repository so the compiler can find it. Ideally the file would be managed by the owner/creator/maintainer so it gets updated as required.
Code: Select all
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.xolstice.maven.plugins:protobuf-maven-plugin:0.5.0:compile (default) on project messaging: Missing: [ERROR] ---------- [ERROR] 1) com.google.protobuf:protoc:exe:linux-arm_32:3.4.0 [ERROR] [ERROR] Try downloading the file manually from the project website.
Can anyone suggest how this could be achieved for this particular file? Who would I contact? How would I contact them?
Alternatively, is it possible to create a local Maven repository on the LAN to store the file?
As you can probably tell, I am not an expert on Maven.
