hi there, im using a different adapter on a small projector now.....the pi boots up and displays in 800 x 600 but the maximum resolution of the projector is 1280 x 720
it doesn't matter what I put in the config file it just doesn't change anything....
if I plug the pi via hdmi to my tv the pi goes to 1366 x 768.
now if I unplug from the tv and straight back into my hdmi to dvi into my projector it remains at 1366 x 768.
just seems the pi is ignoring the config file and auto detecting the screen....
ive looked around and even added the line in the config to ignore the cec or cea , cant remember exactly what is was....

Is it a HDMI projector?
What does tvservice -m CEA && tvservice -m DMT give you?
What display parameters have you got in /boot/config.txt?

hi there, im trying to get my monitor up and running which uses dvi.
im using a hdmi to dvi adapter.
eveytime I change the config I get the multi-coloured start screen then the monitor says out of range.
so today Im using a different adapter and a projector with dvi input.
this was my config:
disable_overscan=1
# uncomment to force a specific HDMI mode (this will force VGA)
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=9 (tried different modes)
config_hdmi_boost=4
hdmi_force_hotplug=0 - also tried 1
# uncomment for composite PAL

ive also tried removing:

In order to edit config.txt file, plug a keyboard and let Shift pressed at startup, then "e" and edit the file from here.
Remove all hdmi_* from the file and save and escape to boot.

still I think of not using a passphrase key. recalbox setting in here did not set the rear. and here recalbox.conf erased "new key" that there was nothing there. no problem there?

yes remove.
Now I'm looking into etc / wpa_supplicant.conf and there's SSID "Snoopyk" and PSK "TPlink" But I have the SSID "Snoopyk TPlink" and not using PSK. So the problem with spaces in the name SSID? any other solution than removing the router SSID names with spaces ??. I do not want to override lots of facilities here what I have attached to the router: D

I'm still not able to connect via wifi with the realtek adapter. My security setting is WEP if that matters? I only mention it because I use to have a Nintendo DS that would not connect to a WEP secured network and worked fine when I would switch to WPA.
Also, there is JOYSTICK UP and JOYSTICK LEFT in the controller config, but no DOWN or RIGHT?

99% time the up and down are the same axis, with + and - values.
So i just put up and left, and determined right and down.

In order to edit config.txt file, plug a keyboard and let Shift pressed at startup, then "e" and edit the file from here.
Remove all hdmi_* from the file and save and escape to boot.
Hi there great stuff , managed to get it up and running , much appreciated, I was editing the file itself on the sd card on my PC. As soon as I edited it through the way you mentioned above all works great...will get a pic of my project up later
