Nope, adding a standalone emulator means write a script for the controller configuration and emulator configuration...

I will test the picodrive emulator standalone, but it's quite an hard work to integrate it. So if it's not a perfect emulation, i wont do it.

Some more questions about PC-Engine CD-support. I have been spending some time trying to get a CD-game running but I've only gotten as far as the System Card BIOS telling me "LOAD ERROR" when I try to start the CD. It seems it's looking for .cue-files and I've tried some games I have in cue/bin-format but those doesn't work - and I tried converting one of those to iso but iso isn't recognized at all. Is it some combination of cue/iso the emulator wants, and if so - does anyone have any good advice on how to convert games to that format?

The first install was a 2.X.X ? I am having trouble because of all names changes in the system. Please reinstall the last version.

Do you have special char in the name of the cue and iso, like ² or something ? Try to remove them from .cue and .iso filenames. Then edit the .cue to remove it too.

And retry to launch the .cue

I tried renaming the files to something really simple, like ys12.bin and ys12.cue and also editing the cue-file to reflect the name change. If I SSH in and see the log that the emulator outputs I can see that it recognizes lots of tracks as audio but I'm thinking it has a problem with the data track. I tried a few of the games I had from before and also downloaded 2 from the site from the readme.

Just out of curiosity, the games you have tested with, are they in bin/cue format? Are the audiotracks separate wav-files referenced in the cue or is it just a bin and cue? I noticed the Sega CD game I tried (which worked!) was in iso/wav/cue-format so I was thinking that perhaps I could convert my games into that if it's what the emulator is looking for...

Are there any documentation anywhere for the pc-engine core that is in use?

Thanks for adding support for select as a hotkey. I had resorted to manually editing your scripts to remove the special commands. This should work much better for retro controllers.

RE: PCE CD
I'm surprised you've had as much trouble as you've had. I've found the PCE emulator to be very forgiving with weird files I've thrown at it. Here's an example cue sheet I'm using:
http://pastebin.com/jn2FuTtU
No idea if this info will help, but I've got my cue sheets all in the main folder with subfolders for the actual bin/ogg files. I don't know about mp3 I had these ready from a modded Wii. I haven't had nearly as much luck with Sega CD. Sonic CD's audio messed up super bad with separated track files.

Thanks for the cue-file, that's actually very helpful!

I'm glad to see that it supports ogg-files, really makes a size-difference on the games. Gonna try and convert a game to that format and see what happens.

Thanks again ewzzy! I got the game working by using your cue-file. I used the program bincuesplit (if I'm not mistaken) which was bundled with a PC-engine emulator for the Wii, and when I ran that on my bin/cue-file it did spit out iso and ogg files, and then by modifying your cue-file to use those files it all worked great!

Hi pals,

Just for you to know i'm working on the ARMV7+NEON version of recalboxOS, in order to run it on my rpi2 i should receive this morning. I pulled the last 3.18.5 kernel, and for now the compilation is ok with standard armv7-a + neon compilations options.

We will have to wait for last noobs source release with armV7 support to adapt the rescue system.

I'll let you know the performances of PSX an N64 emulation on the rpi2 :)

The NOOBS source should be there on http://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs, there was a new NOOBS v1_3_12 this week.

Great Great news guys !

1 - I received my RPI2 :)
2 - I managed to run the recalboxOS image on it (i'm just correcting bluetooth dongle detection right now)
3 - I ran FFVII, Chrono Chross, FFIX, TOMB RAIDER, VAGRAN STORY with pcsx reameder libretro core. No overclock here -> 60fps.
4 - I ran all 32x title 60fps
5 - ES boots 2 times faster

What i have to do before the beta release : pifba and imame4all doesn't work at all, i must correct buildroot packages.
I'll take a look at fba libretro core with the rpi2, just in case.

Little video of 32X games and PSX games on RPI2 :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4YJni-sybU

Running on recalbox, compiled with armv7+neon flags, no overclock.

I'm still stuck with fba and imame4all retroarch core, i have seg fault while running both, i might change compilation flags.

Did you try to use another core? (Mame 2003 or Mame 2010 or fba-libretro)

Could I update recalbox 3.0.1 to 3.1.0? Or do I need to get the new image to install?
