Gameboy RaspberryPi

Thu Nov 27, 2014 6:49 pm

i have nearly finished my portable Gamboy Raspberry Pi Project. So far it runs on a battery about 6 hours and is fully portable. It has a USB port so you can attach an wlan dongle, bluetooth dongle or a SNES USB gamepad.
I wanted to keep the look of it as originaly as possible .

Have a look at youtube if you like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg4QNKEwUyo

Please leave some comments on how you like my project so far and if you have, some ideas for it :)

That looks awesome! how long did it take you to make it? and is it battery or does it plug in the wall. :)

6 hours?! The one thing for my RPi Gameboy that's given me the most trouble is finding a decent battery. Which one did you use? Oh, and would it be too much to ask for a picture of the insides? It looks terrific, great job! ^^

That is one of the nicest build variations of this project I've seen. I'd love to see an instructable or guide, as I have a burning desire to build one of these :D .

I'm with techj2020. Other gameboy cases enlarge the screen and get rid of the plastic screen cover/surround. I imagine it's still a big screen behind there, but adjusted using the overscan settings?

Sterling work.
note: I may or may not know what I'm talking about...
