F310 gamepad and last brew of RetroPie 2.3

Hello,

My logitech F310 is recognize at startup (as a XBOX controler?!) and I can navigate inside the menu of the retropie freely.
But when it comes to start a game (SNES, PSX...), it starts, but I lost subsequently control of the commands: the Pad become unresponsive.

I am linux noob but I may be able to modify some file if required using putty.
What am I suppose to do to make it work properly in game?

I've seen some stuff to do with this folder and file:
~/RetroPie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

But the problem is I have no 'configs' under RetroPie.
