Hey there! Glad to see another portable Pi maker. I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can:
I don't have a 3d printer
If you don't own a 3D printer, you can have your model printed online and shipped right to you. You may want to shop around to see who's more affordable or closest to you. Just search for "
3d printing services" as a start.
This one seems pretty good, but don't stop there!
i don't know how/where to find and use tack switches
They're fairly cheap. Just search for "tact switch(es)" or "tactile switch(es)" and you'll find plenty of places to buy. I recommend Adafruit if you're in the US. Their prices are very fair, considering they are based in New York. Not only that, but they also have awesome tutorials online. Also, if you stick around until Saturday @ around 10pm EST, they host an "Ask an Engineer" session, where they release a 10% coupon for their store.
Order some buttons
Learn how they work
i don't know if i should use his battery or another one...(trying not to use usb portable power.)
I'm not sure if I can help you there. You'll just have to make up your mind! :p
im trying to make a keyboard that slides out from the back,im using the small usb keyboard from amazon with the touch pad on the right.
Sounds cool. Kind of like they do
on some cellphones, right?
im trying to put...well want to put...built in wifi
I *highly* recommend
the one from ModMyPi. It's low power enough to not need a powered hub, works out of the box with very little setup, and is nearly as fast as Ethernet. The only downside is that it's European priced, and you may have to wait half an eternity for it to arrive, but it's worth the price and wait!
Good luck on your project!
