I was playing on mcpi one day and suddenly I thought, " This game could be modded a lot". Then it came to me. Wouldn't be cool to make a kind 'tekkit' or 'FTB' equivalent for mcpi! (a heavily modded version of the game)
I've already nearly finished on the textures. I'm going to use sphax. The next stage of development is going to be making the patches. I can code, but I may need some help making the patches. The patches need to be in .mod format to work. Please feel free to leave any ideas( name maybe? ) help or anything in reply!

Re: PatchCraft?
We need redstone and rails. If you can do this, it will be enough for me.
Re: PatchCraft?
Redstone, probably could. Rails, probably not on my own, but its do-able.4thdwarflord wrote:We need redstone and rails. If you can do this, it will be enough for me.

When the basics are done, if you want to, we can work together on the more complicated bits (rails, redstone ect)

Brilliant! I'll post some shots of what I've done already. Haven't tested any code yet, but the textures are finished. The first mod I'll try will probably be something simple (any ideas?).dan3008 wrote:If your any good with java. Re: PatchCraft?
ok, team name... PATCHCRAFT (am i so good at coming up with names or what?)
pi edition mods are very similar to android mods- same kind, but it patches in the wrong place. first mod, mthinks should be a survival mode unlock patch. 500ISE told me on minecraft forum that the pi is forced into creative- it is only a matter of time before someone finds the blocker

Re: PatchCraft?
OK. It'll take a long time, but I know how. We take pi edition in hex format and the android pocket edition in hex format and compare them. There will be lots of differences but we will get there!mrpi64 wrote:ok, team name... PATCHCRAFT (am i so good at coming up with names or what?)

Edit: Gulp. Just looked at the hex code. This is going to take a long, long time...

Re: PatchCraft?
OK, now we know that someone can program c++, does anyone here program in hex
?
i tried editing some completely random bits of hex, and every time i tried to make a new map, it crashed. Shows what happens if you have no idea of what you are doing!!!

Re: PatchCraft?
If you write a program in whatever laungage, compile it and then open it in a hex editor it is a lot easier than programming in hex. Keep trying the the random hex editing, we'll get there eventually!mrpi64 wrote:OK, now we know that someone can program c++, does anyone here program in hex?

P.S.
Do you think we should try to get 'Internal Server Error 500' from the minecraft forums on board team PatchCraft?
Re: PatchCraft?
I'm asking for a survival mode unlock patch. But it will probably fall on deaf ears; but i will ask him anyways.

Re: PatchCraft?
the licence for 0.1.0 (the leaked version) wasn't done properly. It would allow for decompiling (especially to learn
how it worked.
