Cloud Gaming

Tue Jun 02, 2020 8:42 pm

Hi!

I've just bought the new raspberry pi 4 with 8gb.

I wonder if I can use cloud gaming services such as geforce now, stadia or xcloud.

Is it possible?

Stadia may be feasable, definitely not geforce now, never heard of xcloud.

Hope this helps.

edit: xcloud is for mobile devices only. No chance. Stadia is your best bet.

I tried running Stadia. It was not good at all. Granted I was using a WIFI connection, I feel that even with a wired connection, the RPi4 does not have enough horse power to make any game playable. I only have the 4gb model, so perhaps it will be different w/ an RPi4 w/ 8gb and wired connection?

I use Shadow PC with moonlight/zerotier for cloud gaming. Don't use it a ton, but nice to have it when I feel like playing something my pi4 can't play.

It runs on a Raspberry Pi? Wow, I might consider it.

As for stadia, I imagine it's the Pi's GPU. You could try overcolcking, because that can actually help.
