Wireless Xbox Controller

Wed Feb 27, 2019 4:22 pm

As of today I am the proud owner of an Xbox controller (wireless). Install went fine, the pi recognises the controller and all is well.
But..
Why do I need to SUDO xboxdrv ? How can I make it work without sudo ?
And where are the install files of xboxdrv ?

Many thanks

You can search for installed files or programs using the "Synaptic package managing" software, to install "Synaptic" open the terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install synaptic

Code: Select all

sudo synaptic
After loading "Synaptic," click on the "Installed" category, then search for "xboxdrv" in the list, right click on "xboxdrv," select "Properties," then click "Installed files."

To avoid using the "sudo" command, your computer account needs to be set to "root."

Return to “Gaming”
