Raspberry Pi Zero W as a Wireless Controller

Sun Jun 03, 2018 7:12 pm

So summer break just started and I decided I would get a couple games on my computer for an emulator. I don't like using my keyboard for playing some retro games and was wondering if it was possible to make a raspberry pi powered wireless controller. I have made a MintyPi before but I am looking more into the tactile switches acting as button input sent to my computer. I have the battery and some various other parts, just I don't know how to send button inputs to my computer over Bluetooth. Thanks to anyone who can give me any help or advice.

This isn't a complete answer but should point you on your way.

Bluetooth has a HID profile (HID=Human Interface Device) for keyboard, mouse, game controller, etc. You probably need to investigate that.
Note to self: don't feed the trolls

If I've asked you a question, please answer it. I'm unlikely to be able to help without that information.
