I think finding games that run native on a pi will be tuff. Some need the open gl drivers and they do work but for me, it does not show well on my plasma tv. Had to reload the stock drivers.

Some games I like:
SuperTux (Platformer):

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install supertux
GLTRON:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install gltron
Neverball:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install neverball
Spout: (Doesnt need experimental GL drivers)

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install spout
To play the three first games, you need to enable GL drivers.
In the console, type this:

Code: Select all

sudo raspi-config
From there go to Advanced Options>GL Drivers
Click on Fake KMS (works best in my opinion and is way more stable)

After that, reboot your Pi.

EDIT: Ive added SuperTux to my list.

My nativ games on the Pi are:

Flare RPG a Diablo I like game, with dark Dungeons and many Monster. You can choose between different charakter Warrior Scout, Archer, Mage and skill them. Choose between different Item.

Code: Select all

sudo apt install flare
One of the best games I like on the Pi ist The Battle for Wesnoth, Have you time to fight against my army? :D I play mostly in the evening CET (Central European Time).

Code: Select all

sudo apt install wesnoth-1.12
Install the 1.12 version here you can use the multiplayer server. You can look after more Wesnoth Versions with apt:

Code: Select all

apt list *wesnoth*
And at the Moment I fight with my friends in freeCivilisation 8-)
just install it with:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install freeciv
And another game I had play on my big Linux Computer but not tested on the pi is Warzone2100 and 0AD, But I think here you need OpenGL.
But I think I do not need to mention here how you install this on your Raspberry ;)

In the Linux world so many games to play and with one Command to install. And now... Have Fun!
