Morning all
Random question as I'm trying to get WingCommander to work.
Is it normal to get an error like this with dosbox?
ALSA:Can't subscribe to MIDI port (65:0) nor (17:0)
MIDI:Can't open device:alsa with config:.
ALSA:Can't subscribe to MIDI port (65:0) nor (17:0)
MIDI:Opened device:none
Cheers

Re: Midi and Dosbox
thats not so much an error as telling you that you have no midi device.
you could run timidity or the like in server mode that would work for general midi games but wing commander only supports adlib or MT32.
I believe some guys on the vogons forum got the MUNT mt32 emulator going on raspbian but i have not tried that
you could also use a USB midi adapter or a midi hat and a real MT-32 module but that is a much larger investment.
the mt-32 music is really nice but the easy way is to just use the ADLIB emulation built in to dosbox
