How do I copy files from my mac (lion) to my pi through my network. I can see my videos that are saved on my mac on the pi but how do I put files onto the USB stick plugged into my pi

Thanks

a) use a usb hard drive not a slow flash based usb stick
b) common ways to copy files over the network include scp, ftp, smb, and nfs.
scp is the only option enabled by default so here is an example:

Code: Select all

scp -r ~/Downloads/Video/* [email protected]:/media/USB/Video/
If you install sshfs on your mac or enable ftp, smb, or nfs on the pi you can drag and drop in finder.
