I can't seem to figure this out. I have a ps3 controller and an xbox 360 controller I am using with my setup.
I originally was using the 360 controller and it setup 2 controllers. Basically player 1 & 2 are both set to the xbox controller. LIke a ghost controller? I setup the ps3 controller today but it's showing up as player 3. I can't seem to set it as player 1 or 2. I am using retropie 3.0. Any advice would be awesome. I still consider myself a beginner with linux systems.
I tried removing the devices from /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_input.cfg
This didn't help. I am hoping someone could teach me how to remove or delete every controller I have setup right now and start over without having to re setup retropie from scrach.

Have you tried to unplug one of the Xbox controllers?

Re: RetroPie Controller Help
Yes and only 1 is plugged in. One is like a ghost controller. How do I make a controller that's set to player 3 be player 1?
